True to our guiding principle, “Your project is our project”, we develop, manufacture and support bespoke diesel generator systems for a wide range of applications. As a specialist company in generator construction, we are based in Gernsheim on the Rhine, at the heart of the Rhine-Main region. From here, we deliver projects for customers in Germany and abroad – always with the aim of tailoring technical solutions precisely to the respective requirements.

Manufacturing at the Gernsheim site

At our site in Gernsheim near Darmstadt, Germany, we manufacture stationary, mobile and reliable diesel generating sets, including the associated switchgear for island mode, parallel operation and peak load operation.

Every system is individually planned and manufactured – tailored to the application, output requirements and local conditions.

Our generators are manufactured and tested at our own site. Our in-house test facility is a key prerequisite for consistently high quality and reliable, fault-free operation.
Seamless on-site installation

Installation and commissioning of our power generators are carried out by our own specialist personnel. This reduces interfaces and avoids delays during commissioning.

Sustainable quality assurance

On request, our service engineers can carry out regular maintenance and servicing of the generators directly at the customer’s premises – ensuring long-term reliability and compliance with standards.

Specialist in emergency generators

AKO takes on the planning, production and delivery of emergency generators and standby power systems specially designed to meet our customers’ operational needs and individual requirements.

As specialists in generator construction – particularly in the field of emergency power supply – we have many years of experience and in-depth technical expertise.

At AKO, our customers receive everything from a single source: from diesel generating sets and emergency generators through to complete standby power systems, including the required switchgear and control technology.

From planning to test run

AKO offers its customers a comprehensive end-to-end service. This begins with expert advice and requirements analysis and extends through to commissioning and beyond.

Following technical coordination, we prepare bespoke quotations, manufacture the generators on a project-specific basis and test the quality of every system on our in-house test facility. Only after successful functional testing is the system professionally installed on site by our experienced service engineers.

To ensure long-term reliable operation, we also offer our customers individually tailored maintenance contracts.
